Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features the recent release of a report from the Delaware Workers’ Compensation Task Force. Led by Lt. Governor Matt Denn, the task force was assembled in January to address the “dramatic increase” in Delaware’s workers compensation premiums over the past two years, after four consecutive years of decreases that totaled over 40%.
Prompted by the 34% increase in average workers compensation rates, the report examined the impact that 2007 amendments to the law had upon workers compensation premiums, and whether any additional changes to statutes, regulations, or practices are required to control growth in premiums.
