Dallas, TX -(PRNewswire)- Concentra, a subsidiary of Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM), recently announced the appointment of Ted Bucknam as President of Concentra. In his new role, Bucknam will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the company’s strategy, including its expanding footprint and integration with Humana initiatives.

Bucknam joined Concentra in 1995, and most recently served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. He was instrumental in establishing Concentra’s consumer health strategy, spearheading a service-driven cultural transformation resulting in substantial improvement in business outcomes and patient loyalty. He also helped to create new pathways in the delivery of health care for more than 100,000 employer-clients, developing more than 270 worksite medical centers.
Prior to joining Concentra, Bucknam held positions with Medicus Systems Corporation where he was responsible for the company’s strategic initiatives supporting investor relations, product management, and outside sales. Bucknam earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Bates College, and MBA and Master of Health Services Administration degrees from the University of Michigan.
