New York, NY – RIMS, the risk management society™, has announced the launch of its 2013 RIMS Mobile App designed for the Society’s Annual Conference & Exhibition in Los Angeles. New to this year’s app is the “My Schedule” feature that will sync attendees’ pre-selected sessions, an interactive navigation that pinpoints booth locations – and the best routes to them – in the Exhibit Hall, as well as the capability to download educational session handouts and rate sessions.
Compatible with Apple products, smartphones, Blackberry and other web-browser enabled devices, the 2013 RIMS Mobile App also:
- acts as a platform for RIMS to deliver late-breaking news and updates, detailed event information and speaker bios;
- provides exhibitors with a medium to distribute company announcements;
- integrates with RIMS’ Twitter feed and the Society’s other social media forums;
- features a “Friends” function that allows for the sharing of contact information between consenting app users;
- gives conference attendees a mechanism to evaluate sessions; and
- offers a comprehensive listing of the 400-plus exhibitors, an interactive expo map and city information.
