Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features the release of the California CHSWC’s 2012 edition of their annual report, which examines the health, safety and workers’ comp systems in California and provides some of CHSWC’s recommendations for options to improve them.
The 2012 edition includes the suggestions that the system be re-examined in light of recent legislative and administrative changes, that data-quality problems be examined and improvements be made for reporting of employers’ coverage, and that the collections and analysis of transaction level data from Insurers by the WCIRB be supported in order to ensure predictability, transparency, incentives and CDI oversight of the insurance industry.
