Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features the release of the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation’s 2012 edition of their annual Workers’ Compensation Report, which covers the state of Florida’s Workers’ Comp Market.
Key findings from the report included the conclusion that Florida’s market remains competitive, showing a 56% decline in voluntary market rates since reform legislation was passed in 2003. The OIR did however cite concerns about the impact on rates from cost drivers associated with physician drug repackaging, reimbursement costs for hospital in/outpatient care and ambulatory surgical center care.
