NY WCB Revokes Doc’s Authorization to Perform IMEs

Schenectady, NY – Please be advised that Dr. Mario Silvestri’s authorization to perform independent medical examinations in the New York State workers’ compensation system has been revoked effective September 21, 2012. Dr. Silvestri’s last known business address is 1003 Monroe Street, Endicott, NY, 13760. Last know city of practice is Endicott, New York.

Dr. Silvestri is prohibited from performing independent medical examinations of injured workers. Reports submitted by Dr. Silvestri for independent medical examinations performed prior to September 21, 2012, are valid, but are invalid for any independent medical examinations performed on or after that date. Requests to cross-examine Dr. Silvestri for independent medical examinations performed prior to September 21, 2012, should not be denied due to this revocation.

Any questions regarding the authorized lists should be referred to Health Provider Administration at 1 (800) 781-2362.
