EK Health Promotes Sherry Busbee to Case Management Services Executive

January 24, 2013 - WorkCompWire

San Jose, CA -(BusinessWire)- EK Health Services, Inc., a leading national workers’ compensation managed care company, has promoted Sherry Busbee to Assistant Vice President of Case Management.

Busbee will be responsible for EK Health’s Case Management division. Among her duties are developing new case management services to meet industry and customer needs and overseeing EK Health’s case management department and Quality Assurance program.

A recognized workers’ compensation industry executive, Busbee joined EK Health in January, 2012, as Director of Case Management, Eastern Region. As a new member of the executive team, she will help direct company strategy and growth. She will continue to be located near Memphis, TN, where she will serve clients throughout the national market.

“Sherry is a solid nurse executive who balances nursing and business in our case management services,” said Eunhee Kim, President and CEO of EK Health. “She puts our customers first and infuses her extreme customer-centric spirit throughout all of our case management, nurse training and nurse management efforts.”

“For every case assigned to our case management team, Sherry places a priority on quality,” said Kim. “She also brings strong proactive and innovative case management development, as well as solid analytic skills to the team.”

Busbee has over 20 years’ experience in workers’ compensation and disability benefits management. After receiving her education at Methodist Hospital School of Nursing and becoming a staff nurse at Memphis’ Methodist Hospital System, she advanced into nursing education with responsibility for clinical instruction of nursing students at hospitals throughout the Memphis area.

She later joined Intracorp, where she rose through the ranks from field case manager to director, and regional sales and account manager. While at Intracorp, she was the on-site disability management consultant for a renowned company that provides transportation, e-commerce and business services throughout the world.
