Rocky Hill, CT – A Watertown man was recently arrested and charged with Workers’ Compensation Fraud and Perjury. Randy Baribault, age 54, of 29 Falls Ave., Oakville, was arrested by Inspectors from the Workers’ Compensation Fraud Control Bureau in the Office of the Chief State’s Attorney and charged with one count each of Workers’ Compensation Fraud and Perjury.
The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Workers’ Compensation Fraud Control Bureau.
The charges are merely accusations and Mr. Baribault is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
Workers’ Compensation Fraud is a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison. Perjury is a felony punishable by a maximum sentence of 5 years.
Mr. Baribault was released on $25,000 non-surety bond in Superior Court, G.A. No. 17, Bristol, on February 11, 2013. The case will be prosecuted by the Workers’ Compensation Fraud Control Bureau.
