Today’s edition of WorkCompRecap features the announcement from New York’s Workers’ Compensation Board that they have launched a new tool for medical providers and injured workers to determine whether they must use a Diagnostic Testing Network (DTN).
Claim administrators (self-insureds, carriers and TPAs) that require injured workers to use their DTNs have to provide the WCB with information about their mandatory DTNs, and can do so by registering for a self-service app. The WCB also noted that the tool does not replace the responsibility to notify the injured worker and treating provider of the existence of a DTN.
