San Francisco, CA – On June 14, 2012, the WCIRB held its annual Workers’ Compensation Conference at the Silverado Resort in Napa, California. Conference attendees included members of the WCIRB’s committees, invited participants from the top 20 insurer groups active in California, and representatives from the employer, labor, and regulatory communities. The annual conference provides an informal setting in which some of the industry’s primary constituents can share their perspectives on the issues facing the workers’ compensation industry. Conference Speakers WCIRB President and CEO Bill Mudge kicked off the conference with a welcome message recognizing the diversity of perspectives represented by all of the conference attendees and expressing his hope that stakeholders will find common ground to address some of the issues facing the workers’ compensation industry.
The conference program for this year included presentations by Dr. John Howard, director of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Dave Bellusci, WCIRB senior vice president and chief actuary. Each speaker’s slide presentation is available by visiting the Spotlight section of the WCIRB website (www.wcirbonline.org) or clicking the links below.
