Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features a some Workers’ Comp reform news coming out of Missouri, as the state House of Representatives has approved Senate Bill 572, which includes provisions addressing protections for co-employees who are at risk of personal lawsuits for their role in honest accidents.
The new bill will also make/return occupational disease to being exclusively covered under Missouri’s Workers’ Compensation System, and also states that all administrative remedies must be exhausted before civil actions involving injury or death filed by the employee can move forward. The bill now heads to the Governor.
