KING OF PRUSSIA, PA. – MedRisk’s Chief Strategy Officer Ruth Estrich will be among the highlighted speakers at the 9th Annual National Workers’ Compensation Insurance ExecuSummit. Estrich will present “Myth Busters: Exposing the Top 5 Physical Medicine Myths,” on Wednesday, Feb 1 at 11 a.m. MedRisk is a managed care company specializing in the physical rehabilitation of injured workers.
In this session, Estrich will identify widely held, but false beliefs regarding physical therapy and proceed to disprove these viewpoints with evidence-based findings. Such myths include concepts that all licensed physical therapists (PT) are alike when it comes to treating work-related injuries and that all PT visits should last at least an hour regardless of the type of injury or outcomes-based evidence.
The 9th Annual National Workers’ Compensation Insurance ExecuSummit will be held Jan. 31-Feb.1 at the Mohegan Sun Convention Center and Hotel in Uncasville, CT. The ExecuSummit is an educational event specifically designed for workers’ compensation insurance professionals.
