Also in the news today is the recent release of the Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau of California (WCIRB)’s report summarizing insurer loss and premium experience through the third quarter of 2011. Highlights from the report include California written premium coming in at approximately $8.3 billion – about 12% above the written premium reported for the first nine months of 2010.
