DULUTH, GA ― Michael Gavin has become the Chief Marketing Officer for PRIUM, a URAC-accredited utilization review and medical cost management company serving the workers’ compensation and general liability insurance industries. Gavin, who served as PRIUM’s Chief Operating Officer for the past year and a half, is responsible for the company’s business development efforts and oversees marketing and sales.
“We brought Michael on to grow the business,” said CEO James A. Pritchard. “Now that he’s optimized our operational capabilities, he’s uniquely positioned to tell our story to clients and prospective clients.”
Gavin brings 10 years of health care experience to the position. Before joining PRIUM, he was a consultant with Kurt Salmon Associates, a leading provider of strategic advisory services to hospitals and other healthcare providers. Previously he was the vice president of operations for MDdatacor, Inc., a start-up that provides information technology solutions to support pay-for-performance programs in the ambulatory care environment. He started his career with the Monitor Group, a global management consulting firm where he served clients in the pharmaceutical, health insurance, and health care private equity sectors.
Gavin holds an MBA from Goizueta Business School of Emory University in Atlanta and a BSBA in Finance from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
