Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features Governor Pat Quinn’s recent announcement of the appointments of 7 commissioners to the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission (IWCC), which comes on the heels of his recent arbitrator appointments. The Commissioners will sit on one of three IWCC panels that review appeals by petitioners or respondents to an arbitrator’s decision. To ensure balanced reviews, each panel consists of three commissioners representing the public, the employee community, and the employer community.
