SAN DIEGO, CA (Marketwire) – Mitchell International, Inc., a leading provider of technology, connectivity and information solutions to the Property & Casualty claims and Collision Repair industries, today announced that it has been selected as one of four exclusive vendors authorized to provide claims administrators with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) services to submit first reports of injury (FROI) and subsequent reports of injury (SROI) to the state of Utah. Mitchell’s Regulatory Reporting Solutions for workers’ compensation will help Utah to simplify its Workers’ Compensation Act reporting requirements while providing insurers with an automated EDI process that allows insurers to focus on claims administration, adjudication and getting injured workers back to work.
“We are pleased to be one of a very select few vendors authorized to provide EDI to the State of Utah,” said Nina Smith-Garmon, senior vice president and general manager of the Mitchell Workers’ Compensation Solutions Division. “Not only are we an approved EDI vendor, we are also providing the Utah Labor Commission Industrial Accidents Division (IAD) with consulting services to review, analyze and test their EDI reporting requirements.”
She added, “The Utah EDI opportunity allows us to contribute to the efforts of claims administrators to improve compliance reporting efficiency and accuracy while increasing cost containment. It is a continuation of Mitchell’s commitment to delivering data-driven technology that helps insurers to improve and optimize claims processing.”
