Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features the release of Coventry’s First Script Division’s 2010 Drug Trends Report, which includes info on prescriptions billed in 2010 through Coventry’s First Script PBM solution, including comparisons to 2009 First Script results and national stats. Interesing bits coming out of the report include a higher generic fill rate than the industry average, and that generic efficiency rate (rate for generics when a brand name drug was available) improving nearly 4% over last year. Also worth checking out on the reporting front is a new online tool released by the Texas Department of Insurance Division of Workers’ Compensation. The new tool allows users to create customized graphics from workers’ comp system data and view or download the results for future use. Find out more (including a link to the tool) by clicking here!
