Today’s edition of WorkCompRecap features the recent announcement from RIMS that they have been approved as an accredited standards development organization by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Executive Standards Council. The new status allows RIMS to take a lead role in shaping and developing risk management standards, and increases their profile in the standards and practices arena. Also in the news today is a brief announcement from the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), which is reaching out to those who may be witnesses to fraud and abuse in the Federal Employees’ Compensation Act (FECA) program.
