New Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Medical Fee Schedule Published

RANSTON, R.I. and CHICAGO, /PRNewswire/ — A new Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Medical Fee Schedule has been published, with an effective date of July 1, 2011. It’s the first time since 2008 that the State’s Workers’ Compensation Medical Fee Schedule has been fully revised.

The Medical Fee Schedule is divided into rules and rates for reimbursing workers’ compensation medical services in the State of Rhode Island. The rates outlined contain a list of procedures and the associated maximum allowance. The Medical Fee Schedule includes many components such as: Anesthesia Guidelines, Hospital Guidelines, Pharmacy Guidelines, Surgical Guidelines, and Physical and Occupational Guidelines.
