Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features more interesting data breach news, which seems to be running parallel with all the larger hacking incidents in the news lately. The California Department of Public Health has announced that an investigation has found that personal and workers’ compensation information of approximately 9,000 current and former state employees was improperly copied to a private hard-drive and removed from state offices.

On the opposite side of the country, New Hampshire recently announced increases in minimum and maximum weekly compensation rates. The increases are based upon information from the Department of Employment Security, which establishes the State’s Average Weekly Wage. The new rates will be effective July 1 (this Friday!).
