Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features the California State Fund’s sponsorship of Assembly Bill 288, which would amend the California insurance code to provide clear authorization for State Fund to offer workers’ comp insurance that will cover a California employer’s out of state employees. The State Fund believes that the legislation will level the playing field for employers when comparing the Fund to private providers who already offer such arrangements.
