NASHVILLE, Tenn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Prime Health Services, one of the nation’s largest workers’ compensation, group health, Medicare PFFS, inmate corrections, and first party auto liability PPO networks, is pleased to announce it has acquired majority interest in CoreChoice, a specialty network for Radiology. CoreChoice is contracted with radiology related medical providers and facilities for the Group Health, Workers’ Compensation, and Auto markets.
Brian Sharp, CEO of Prime Health, said yesterday, “This acquisition greatly enhances Prime’s radiology coverage for all of our product lines. CoreChoice has done an excellent job contracting radiology facilities under a new business model which is preferred by both the facility and the client. Our clients are thrilled to have the industry’s deepest discounts in radiology without having to use the #800 number models which have proven to be so ineffective.” Sharp further stated, “Prime continues to enhance its place in the PPO market with this acquisition.”
Prime Health and CoreChoice have worked closely together since 2009, and thus have integrated EDI connections as well as work flows. Steven Gass, CEO of CoreChoice, stated, “We believe being a part of the Prime Health Services product offering will greatly enhance CoreChoice in the market place. The relationship allows CoreChoice access to the nation’s top payers, which will create a positive position for both companies.”
Steven Gass will continue to serve as CEO of CoreChoice, which will be sold and marketed as a payer-neutral standalone radiology specialty network. The CoreChoice home office is located in New York, NY.
