Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features news from the California Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) which is planning to launch a new electronic filing method that will help those that have become pros at e-filing documents into EAMS, DWC’s electronic case management system for the workers’ compensation courts to become more efficient, and may encourage those who are still going through paper-filing processes to change over.
JET file, the new system to be opened up in May, differs from the existing three year-old “e-forms” system in that JET file will allow filers to send multiple files in one transaction through secure file transfer protocol (SFTP), which should provide greater efficiency for large-volume filers.
