More AIG Settlement Details!

March 11, 2011 - WorkCompWire

Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features some AIG settlement news coming out of Oregon, as their Department of Business & Consumer Services reports that Oregon will net $3.6 million as part of the previously announced $100 million settlement between AIG and all 50 states.

A two-year examination of AIG and its Chartis insurance companies found the companies misreported $2.12 billion in workers’ compensation premium nationwide as general or commercial automobile liability premium. This led to an underpayment to Oregon’s Work Comp premium assessment, which helps fund work comp and workplace safety programs.
