Coventry Narcotics Management Program Selected as Finalist for Case in Point Platinum Awards

March 22, 2011 - WorkCompWire

Franklin, TN – Coventry Workers’ Comp Services, Inc., a division of Coventry Health Care, Inc., has been named a finalist in the second annual Case In Point Platinum Awards. The company’s Narcotics Management Program was selected in the category of Workers’ Compensation Case Management.

Dorland Health, the award program’s sponsor, invited case management programs regardless of size to share the important work they are doing to ensure each patient receives safe, quality, cost effective care. Each of the case management programs named as Finalists demonstrated their value and commitment toward continuous improvement through valid data proving that the practice of case management is an essential component of the
health care system.

“Our integrated approach to care management provides the most effective model to ensure an individual’s optimal recovery and safe return-to-work”, stated Brian Carpenter, R.Ph., vice president clinical pharmacy product strategy. “The Narcotics Management Program is a great collaborative success for our case management and clinical pharmacy teams on behalf of our customers and their injured workers.”

The finalists in each category will be recognized at a luncheon in Washington D.C. on May 10, 2011 at the National Press Club. The winners in each category will be announced at that time.

“We are honored to have our Narcotics Management Program receive this recognition”, stated Leigh Anne Foster, director of clinical training and medical case management. “It confirms that we have created a unique solution only achievable when you leverage the multi-disciplinary clinical expertise and robust data resident within our organization.
