NCCI’s new report covers the effectiveness of Safe Lifting Programs in reducing claims frequency and total comp costs when implemented at long-term care facilities.
While the study may seem narrow in focus at first, the broader issue at hand that NCCI touches on is the effect that aging may have on our workforce, and in turn, how it may begin to affect the Workers’ Compensation space.

In fraud and enforcement news, California Insurance Commissioner Jones has announced the surrender of San Francisco Department of Public Health employee accused of Workers’ Compensation fraud, and whose charges had added up to an arrest warrant amount of $120,000.
