Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features the Workers’ Compensation Research Institute’s (WCRI) 2011 CompScopeTM report. According to WCRI, the report seeks to answer the following two questions for 16 large states:
- How does the performance of a state system compare with that of other states?
- How is state system performance changing over time?
In their most recent release, WCRI took an interest in Wisconsin, noting that the increased cost and more frequent use of medical care provided to injured workers in Wisconsin have driven up the average medical payments per workers’ compensation claim in recent years.
