MedRisk Forms Data Analytics Division

February 9, 2011 - WorkCompWire

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA. – MedRisk, Inc., the workers’ compensation industry leader in specialty managed care services, has announced the creation of its Risk Information and Business Intelligence (RIBI) unit. RIBI’s first initiative is to roll out a new reporting platform featuring state-of-the-art graphics and outcomes analytics.

“MedRisk has always been data-driven and research oriented,” said CEO Shelley Boyce.
“We’ve been collecting and analyzing information on physical medicine comp claims for more than 15 years in order to develop and enhance treatment guidelines and cost control strategies. With the addition of RIBI, we’re establishing transparency of process and results to deliver outcomes data directly to our clients via the web.”

MedRisk’s RIBI system will deliver real-time data and presentation-ready graphics, so clients can quickly and easily communicate results to their stakeholders. The sophisticated, interactive system is completely secure and enables reports to be accessed 24/7 on just about any device, including mobile phones, other hand-held devices, e-readers, and computers.

This new platform will also allow the seamless integration of payer data to develop a full picture of the treatment episode from injury through return-to-work.

“With this new service, work comp payers can analyze their physical medicine outcomes, apply predictive modeling to identify new opportunities and trend results,” Boyce added.

Client roll-out will begin later in the year.
