Las Vegas, NV (Vocus/PRWEB) – HealthSmart welcomes Suzanne Taylor as Vice President of Network Development for the Western Region of the United States. Operating out of Las Vegas, Nevada, Ms. Taylor will oversee network development operations in the western United States with focused emphasis on Nevada, Northern California and Southern California. She will be joined by HealthSmart’s strong Western Region Network Development team that includes Lisa Strine, Director of Network Development for the Southern California office in Long Beach; Dana Drew, Director of Network Development for Nevada and Marcus Watkins, Director of Network Development for the Northern California office in Stockton.

Prior to joining HealthSmart Suzanne was first a Director and then VP for Beech Street, which was recently acquired by MultiPlan. She served as Director in Quality and Network Development with First Health in Sacramento and has also worked with large carriers, CIGNA HealthCare in Phoenix and Premera Blue Cross, in Seattle. Ms. Taylor has extensive product knowledge and experience with group health and Workers Comp and has negotiated with all provider types, including large hospital systems and physicians. She is also an expert in national ancillary contracting especially throughout the western United States.
Ms. Taylor is very excited about the opportunities HealthSmart offers and the ability to change the face of healthcare for clients and their membership through the ACCEL network and Insight product. Additionally, the West is a prime growth market for Workers’ Comp and a push for this product will be a primary goal for her team in 2011. The Western Region also has key markets currently being assessed for the TribalCARE program, an exclusive offering from HealthSmart.
