February 24, 2011 - WorkCompWire

Franklin, TN – Coventry Workers’ Comp Services, Inc., a division of Coventry Health Care, Inc., announces the addition of Mark Farrell and Betsy Robinson as its two newest members of the company’s senior management team. Farrell joins Coventry as senior vice president of sales and account management while Robinson will take on the role of senior vice president of product and marketing. Both are
based in Philadelphia, PA.

“I am excited to add Betsy and Mark to our senior leadership team,” said David Young, CEO of CWCS. “Betsy’s product development experience coupled with Mark’s business development expertise will allow us to advance our clinical capabilities and grow our market share.” Farrell joins the company, following his most recent position as president of Intracorp, with more than 20 years of experience in executive management, sales, marketing and new business development at various companies including Concentra Managed Care.

“The senior management team at Coventry is one I am eager to get engaged with”, stated Farrell. “Throughout my career I have worked closely with many colleagues within the Coventry organization including the senior management team and I believe we have great opportunities to improve on our industry leading results.”

Robinson joins Coventry with more than 25 years of workers’ comp and disability management experience, most recently as the vice president of product, marketing and analysis at Intracorp. She has provided strategic direction in the development of new products as well as numerous successful integrated clinical programs for payers and employers.

“Given the workers’ compensation market demand for relief from out of control medical expenses, I am looking forward to working on innovative solutions to mitigate the trends”, added Robinson. “There is a great deal we can do to combine the talent, tools and robust data already resident at Coventry and deliver outstanding results for our clients.”
