MedRisk’s Expert Clinical Benchmarks Members to Present at the APTA Combined Sections Meeting

 KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. (Jan. 5, 2011) – Expert Clinical Benchmarks’ Vice President Roger Nelson, PT, PhD, FAPTA and MedRisk’s Director of Clinical Services Kevin Basile, PT, MS OCS, MTC, w ill present at the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) Combined Sections meeting. APTA’s CSM meeting is being held Feb. 9 through 12 at the Ernest Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. ECB’s presentation entitled “Workers’ Compensation and the Older Worker: Case-Based Approach,” will be delivered on Feb.10 at 2:30 p.m. 

This educational session examines issues impacting older employees, such as the biologic and physiologic changes that complicate recovery from musculoskeletal injuries.  The case-based presentation applies scientific research to real case studies.

Basile and Nelson will be joined by ECB International Scientific Advisory Panel members Rob de Bie, PT, PhD; Christopher Main, PhD, FBPsS, MA, M.Phil., C. Psychol.; and Marilyn Moffat, PT, DPT, PhD, DSc (hon), FAPTA, CSCS, CEEAA.  They will also be joined by MedRisk’s Physical Rehabilitation Clinical Reviewer Mike Kamrad, PT, MPT, OCS.

The Combined Sections Meeting (CSM) focuses on programming designed by all 18 of APTA’s specialty sections.
