Dane Street announces addition of Tom Downey to Board of Directors

January 26, 2011 - WorkCompWire

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Dane Street, a leading URAC accredited provider of Peer Review services to the Workers’ Compensation, Disability, Auto and Group Health markets, today announced that Tom Downey has joined Dane Street’s Board of Directors.

“The Dane Street team is thrilled to have Tom join our Board of Advisors”

Tom Downey joins the Board in his current role as Senior Vice President of MedAllocators, Inc., based in Atlanta, Georgia. MedAllocators is an industry leading independent national provider of Medicare Set-Aside (MSA) services. Prior to joining MedAllocators, Tom was a Vice President of Coventry’s Workers’ Compensation Services Group, and spent 15 years at Concentra prior to the purchase of Concentra by Coventry.

“I’m thrilled to be working again with the management team of Dane Street,” said Tom Downey, who previously worked with the founders of Dane Street during his tenure at Concentra. “There is great value in best-of-breed solutions for Physician Reviews versus consolidated managed care suite purchases, and Dane Street is performing at a very high level for its clients. I believe the market opportunity has never been greater for a strong, independent company like Dane Street, which is delivering consistent and significant outcome data and I am excited to support their growth.”

“The Dane Street team is thrilled to have Tom join our Board of Advisors,” said Will Fulton, Chief Executive Officer of Dane Street. “Tom provides our company with a wealth of Workers’ Compensation knowledge, and specific ‘preferred network’ experience. He has great insight into potential complementary services and partners that can benefit Dane Street clients. Together, we look forward to moving Dane Street forward as the premier provider of Peer Review services.”
