Today’s version of WorkCompRecap is a bit “thin” on news from the Holiday weekend. However, there is an interesting press release from Express Employment Professionals that has some good news in it, along with some information we should all be concerned about as the economy recovers. The good news is that employment of “flexible” (read contract or temporary) workers’ continues to surge. This is almost always true in the early stages of any recovery. The more concerning aspects of the release talk about the stress levels felt by most employees. For human resource and workers’ compensation professionals, this may translate into an onslaught of stress related claims in 2011 and 2012. Now might be the time to implement programs to help avoid this situation. Something to think about…
