Today’s edition of WorkCompRecap has a variety of news on everything ranging from insurance carrier performance ratings in Texas to fraud cases in New York. However, today I want to draw your attention to some of the fine work done by the Workers’ Compensation Research Institute (WCRI).
Executive Director Richard Victor and his team do a phenomenal job of conducting research and studies for the benefit of WCRI members and other workers’ compensation stakeholders. Recently, WCRI released the results of studies on medical costs for several states. I have listed those states below and provided links to each of the respective studies. Each is worth reading when you have time.
Minnesota
Michigan
Maryland
Massachusetts
Louisiana
In the weeks ahead, we will devote more attention to the topic of medical costs in workers’ compensation.
You can check out the rest of todays’ workers’ compensation related news at WorkCompWire.com
Now it is time get your bag of popcorn, your favorite soft drink, and wait for the next shoe to drop in the Texas PBM saga!
Have a good weekend.
Sincerely,
