Both defy perfection, which can drive any meticulous Managing Editor to the local Irish Pub for a large serving of their coldest brew. That was the situation here yesterday at WorkCompWire when a loyal reader called very early in the morning to inform me that all the links in our WorkCompRecap email (except one) were broken! So, after aging 3 years, and substituting Bailey’s Irish Cream for my normal Vanilla Coffee Mate (just kidding-but I got you thinking) in my morning cup of Java, I realized that making a mistake in front of more than 1,000 readers was a humbling, but survivable, experience.
With the server error now fixed, and the links working again, we can get back to the business of bringing you timely news and information.
Today’s version of WorkCompRecap features a very informative article from Jopari Solutions about e-Billing in Workers’ Compensation. It provides a great overview of how e-Billing has evolved and where it is today. I would encourage all of you to read it by clicking here.
We also have two Top Stories from Aon and the Bureau of National Affairs (BNA). Neither of these stories is focused on Workers’ Compensation specifically, but they do point out, along with several other articles from this past weekend, that this economy is definitely improving. With a stabilizing workforce, increasing wages, gains in employment should start to show up in the payroll numbers in the months ahead. That is good news because an improving economy should help fuel some growth in the workers’ compensation sector as well.
And finally, for those that got frustrated by the broken link to the IBI study yesterday, here is a link that works!
You can check out the rest of todays’ workers’ compensation related news at WorkCompWire.com
Have a nice day.
Sincerely,
Patrick J. Sullivan
