Concentra Acquires Olathe Occupational Medicine Clinic

October 22, 2010 - WorkCompWire

Addison, TX., October 22,2010–WorkCompwire–Effective October 1, Concentra, a national provider of occupational health services, has expanded its customer base and reach with the asset purchase of Olathe Occupational Medicine Clinic in Olathe, Kansas. The acquisition of this center expands Concentra’s geographic footprint to seven centers in the greater Kansas City area.

The former Olathe Occupational Medicine Clinic will now operate under the Concentra name, offering occupational health services, as well as physical therapy, preventive, wellness, and health education services to current and new patients and employers. This acquisition supports Concentra’s extensive client base, its long history as the leading provider of occupational medicine to employees, and a growing demand for comprehensive health and wellness services.

Keith Newton, president and chief operating officer of Concentra, said, “This is an excellent opportunity to expand our service and medical expertise to local employers in Olathe and the greater Kansas City market at large. Olathe Occupational Medicine Clinic, as part of the Olathe Health System, has a proven record of service to the community, providing comprehensive medical treatment for injured employees – a philosophy that parallels that of Concentra and ultimately results in tremendous benefits for our patients and clients.”

Olathe Occupational Medicine Clinic patients will have access to those services at all seven Concentra locations in the greater Kansas City area. The company employs board-certified physicians, licensed therapists, occupational health specialists, and trained medical technicians to deliver exceptional heath care to patients across the country.
