San Diego, CA August 31, 2010–WorkCompWire — Impairment Resources LLC, the nation’s leading resource on impairment evaluation, announces the appointment of Julie Osborn to the position of Chief Operating Officer. In this role, Osborn assumes responsibility for managing and improving processes and systems to deliver superior services to Impairment Resources’ clients. She will interact directly with the organization’s clients, who include workers’ compensation insurance companies and brokers, third party administrators, and self-insured employers, as well as with medical partners, insurance regulators, and key industry leaders. In addition to focusing on initiatives aimed at overall claims cost reduction and quality assurance, Osborn will oversee the organization’s regulatory compliance.

“One of the strengths that Ms. Osborn brings to our organization is that she has a deep, in-the-trenches understanding of needs from the vantage of our clients, having served roles in the capacity of an employer, an insurer, and a broker,” says Christopher Brigham, M.D. He adds that, “Her expertise in the areas of compliance and quality will mesh with both our mission and our service imperative.” He also cites her significant experience in working with high exposure claims and disability management programs.

Osborn has more than two decades of experience in the workers’ compensation and property-casualty insurance industry, having served in various roles across multiple jurisdictions. Prior to joining Impairment Resources, she served as Director of Compliance and Operations for Matrix Absence Management, a third party administrator, where she was responsible for compliance with state laws and regulations, internal performance standards and procedures, cost containment programs, quality assurance, training, and external client and insurer service requirements. Her prior experience at insurers, employers, and brokers ranges from hands-on claims management to oversight of claims management teams, processes, and systems. Osborn is a licensed Producer in multiple states.
