EMPLOYERS® Promotes Stephen Hedglin to Vice President, Business Development for Strategic Partnerships & Alliances

 RENO, Nev., Sept. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — EMPLOYERS® (NYSE:EIG) , America’s small business insurance specialist®, announced that Stephen Hedglin has been promoted to vice president of business development for strategic partnerships and alliances. In his new role, Hedglin will focus on prospective partnerships and identify, source, evaluate and initiate partnership opportunities with a variety of target companies including payroll providers, healthcare providers, retailers servicing small/medium businesses, small business associations and organizations, financial institutions, and banks and credit providers. Hedglin will work closely with stakeholders to identify profitable and productive growth opportunities.

Since Hedglin joined EMPLOYERS in 2008, his experience and industry knowledge have successfully enabled him to develop strong relationships and rapport with strategic business partners such as Anthem Blue Cross. Prior to joining EMPLOYERS, Hedglin was a key member of a leading California insurance company, working in several areas including claims, underwriting, marketing and sales.

Hedglin received a bachelor’s degree in Sociology/Business Administration from Point Loma College in San Diego, Calif. He is a licensed property and casualty insurance agent in California and holds the following designations: CPCU, AIC, GCA and ARM.
