Insurance Careers Movement Issues Key Updates and Fall Plans

Denver, CO – Insurance Careers Movement recently noted that now that Fall has arrived, it is issuing an update on the movement’s progress and plans.

Over the summer ICM received several inquiries on Brian Duperreault’s involvement with the Insurance Careers Movement. ICM congratulated Brian on his new role as President and CEO of AIG and Brian has assured them that he remains committed to helping champion bringing more young professionals into the insurance industry. ICM looks forward to his continued involvement and leadership with the Movement.

Together as an industry, over the past several years we have made significant progress in raising the visibility of the insurance industry with young professionals and sharing our good story about the industry being stable, rewarding, and limitless. ICM’s CEO town hall was an outstanding success with 10 countries participating and more than 1,600 live attendees. The second Insurance Careers Month in February had extensive social media reach and engagement. In June, ICM secured an excellent Wall Street Journal front page article (sub req’d) by Leslie Scism, Insurance Is a Fun Career! Just Consider the Zombies and Bacon. Please continue to share this great WSJ article.

The successful collaborative efforts of more than 850 insurance carriers, agents/brokers, trade associations and industry partners have continued to grow. To help build on such strong work, Marguerite Tortorello, President of Tortorello Communications Company has joined the Insurance Careers Movement as a consultant. Marguerite will assist with strategic planning, coordination of events and activities, and engagement with our various stakeholders. Many of you know Marguerite as she previously served as Senior Vice President of Public Affairs for PCI and helped start the Insurance Careers Movement.

Soon, ICM will be sending out an invite for its next web conference to discuss upcoming events, increased collaboration with media partners, and ideas to further inspire young professionals to join this stable, rewarding, and limitless industry.
