WorkCompRecap: Tech & Telehealth!

Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features a couple pieces of tech news, starting with Coventry’s announcement that is rolling out comprehensive benchmarks and enhanced risk scoring as part of improvements to its claim-management tool, Coventry Connect, which will help claims pros more readily identify injured workers who could benefit from heightened oversight. Enhancements include will also include ODG scoring, which allows for detailed analysis of claim attributes such as high-risk pharmacy utilization patterns and comorbidity data when formulating risk-acuity scores. Also in the news today is Prime Health Services’ announcement that it has partnered with Consumer Health Connections to offer a workers’ compensation telehealth specialty network called “Prime Telemed” to its carrier, TPA, self-insured and government entity clientele.
