WorkCompRecap: Double WCRI!

Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features the release of a new CompScope report from WCRI that found that total costs for a workers’ compensation claim in Michigan were low compared with other states. The study looks at the period prior to the 2011 passage of legislative changes that included defining disability and post injury wage-earning capacity in line with past decisions of the Michigan Supreme Court, extending benefit termination circumstances and employer control of medical care, and other changes.

WCRI also pops up in the PCI’s recent commendation of Delaware Governor Jack Markel, Lieutenant Governor Matt Denn, and the 20-member Workers Comp Task Force for reaching out to WCRI to help them identify costs drivers in the state’s workers compensation system. Find out more by clicking here!
