Today’s edition of WorkCompRecap kicks off the week with some reform news, as the Ohio BWC recently announced several targeted reform initiatives they’re supporting. Also in the news today is the California WCIRB, who recently released their report on Fourth Quarter 2011 Insurer Experience. Key findings in the report included statewide written premium having risen by $1 billion for the second consecutive year, and the projection that 2011 accident year indemnity claim frequency is at approximately the same level as 2010, but is almost 9% higher than the frequency for 2009.
