Hospitals in Premier Insurance Management Services Program Receive Nearly $3 Million

CHARLOTTE, N.C.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Premier Insurance Management Services Inc. (PIMS) has returned $2,927,666 in experience credit payments to 46 Premier healthcare alliance member hospitals and health systems that participate in its endorsed Excess Workers’ Compensation insurance program.

On February 4, 2012, the payments were made from profits posted for policy years 2005-2008 with Safety National, which provided the insurance.

Insurance program participants also have access to Safety National’s MAP Client Services program, an online resource crafted to provide tools, best practices and training materials to improve injury prevention and claim cost containment. A newly introduced component to MAP Client Services is Safety: Emergency Responder Vehicle Education (S:ERVE), an educational driver simulation and curriculum created to help reduce the risk of collisions by emergency responders.

For 19 years, PIMS has offered the Excess Workers’ Compensation endorsed program to Premier alliance members. Participants have the opportunity for experience credit payments based on favorable program experience. The program has returned more than $10.2 million to members since inception.
