PRIUM Execs Launch “Evidence Based”, New Workers’ Comp Blog

DULUTH, GA ― Michael Gavin, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for PRIUM, and Mark Pew, PRIUM’s Senior Vice President of Business Development, have launched “Evidence Based,” a workers’ compensation blog. Content will focus on medical management issues within workers’ compensation, particularly the over utilization of prescription drugs, including opioids.

“We named it ‘Evidence Based’ because the blog is intended to provide fact-based, educational content,” said Gavin. With his strong background in group health, Gavin’s posts will present an outsider’s approach to workers’ compensation.

Pew, who has worked in a number of information technology and marketing positions at PRIUM since 1989, is a self-described “IT geek,” who loves to analyze data. “Evidence Based will drill down into the nuances of medical management, especially with narcotics and other pharmaceuticals,” Pew said. “We hope the blog will lead to dialog, data collection and analysis to help find solutions to the issues facing the industry.”
